MIIS Awarded Most Outstanding Stakeholder in Reforestation Project

The Tranca Elementary School, together with the Makiling Center for Mountain Ecosystems and local partners, recognized the Multiple Intelligence International School as the Most Outstanding Stakeholder in the Cambantoc Reforestation Project in a simple ceremony held last December 13, 2018 at Tranca Elementary School.

MIIS started the Cambantoc Reforestation Project in 2008. Since then, the project saw support through MIIS’s various Green Initiatives, including the Rainforest Cafe held annually by Grade 1 students, and the Kids Can! Bazaar.

Accompanied by Grade 8 students on their Youth Camp, MIIS Founding Directress Dr. Mary Joy Canon Abaquin received the certificate along with the SIBOL Award, given by the Tranca Elementary Head of School. Representatives of the Makiling Center also gave the students a talk on vertical gardening and the importance of reforestation efforts.
